Terms of service

These Terms of Service establish the rules and responsibilities that apply when individuals access Wyze websites, mobile applications, connected devices, and related services. By registering an account, purchasing hardware, accessing digital features, or otherwise using the platform, users acknowledge these conditions and agree to follow them. Anyone who does not accept the applicable requirements should discontinue use of the services and refrain from completing purchases through the platform.

The services include online websites, mobile applications, connected hardware, software, and other features made available by Wyze. Certain products, subscriptions, promotions, or specialized functions may be governed by additional conditions. Any supplemental terms provided for a particular offering form part of the agreement and may take priority over general provisions when they specifically address that product or service. Users should review any applicable additional requirements before accessing specialized features.

The company may modify these Terms of Service when business practices, technology, legal obligations, or available services change. Updated terms may be posted through the relevant platform and may include a revised effective date. In some circumstances, users may also receive notice through email, application messages, or other communication methods. Continuing to access or use the services after revised terms become effective generally means that the user accepts the updated conditions. Those who do not agree with the changes should stop using the applicable services.

Users must satisfy applicable eligibility requirements before creating an account or purchasing certain products. Where parental or guardian authorization is required, the relevant individual must obtain that permission before using the services. Anyone acting for a business, organization, or another person must have sufficient authority to accept these terms on behalf of that party and is responsible for ensuring that the applicable requirements are followed.

Some features require users to establish an account. Registration information should be truthful, complete, and kept current. Users are responsible for protecting their usernames, passwords, verification information, and other account credentials. Any activity performed through an account may be attributed to the account holder, so users should take reasonable precautions against unauthorized access. If suspicious activity, compromised credentials, or unauthorized account use is discovered, the company should be informed promptly. Accounts may be restricted, suspended, or terminated when security concerns, misuse, or violations of these terms are identified.

The services must be used only for legitimate purposes and in accordance with applicable laws. Users may not interfere with the operation of the platform, compromise its security, or attempt to access systems or information without authorization. Prohibited conduct may include reverse engineering software, circumventing technical safeguards, extracting protected information, interfering with network operations, infringing intellectual property rights, or using the platform to support unlawful activities. Commercial or automated uses that are not permitted by the company may also be restricted.

Wyze may periodically provide software updates for applications, cameras, sensors, and other connected products. Such updates can contain security improvements, corrections, performance enhancements, compatibility changes, or new functionality. Updates may be delivered automatically or through other available methods. Refusing or disabling an important update could affect the functionality, security, compatibility, or availability of certain products and features.

Connected products depend on compatible hardware, software, networks, internet access, and other technical resources. Customers are responsible for maintaining the equipment, connectivity, and settings necessary to operate their devices. Service interruptions may result from internet outages, wireless conditions, maintenance, third-party infrastructure, hardware problems, or other circumstances beyond the company’s control. Accordingly, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot always be guaranteed.

Certain services may allow users to upload, transmit, publish, or otherwise provide content, including photographs, recordings, comments, messages, videos, reviews, and other materials. Users generally retain ownership of content they create, but providing content through the platform may grant Wyze the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, or otherwise use that content in connection with operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the services. Users are responsible for ensuring that submitted materials are lawful and do not infringe the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of another person.

The company may remove, restrict, or disable access to content that violates applicable requirements or creates risks for the platform, its users, or other parties. Content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, threatening, harmful, or otherwise inconsistent with applicable policies may be subject to removal. Users should therefore exercise appropriate judgment before submitting material through any feature that allows communication or content sharing.

Wyze services may depend on third-party technologies and providers, including application marketplaces, telecommunications networks, cloud infrastructure, payment processors, delivery services, and integrated platforms. These external services operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy practices, and technical limitations. Problems involving third-party systems may affect the availability or performance of Wyze products, and the company cannot control every aspect of services provided by outside organizations.

The platform, software, product designs, written materials, graphics, trademarks, logos, technology, and other proprietary elements are protected by intellectual property rights. Except for the limited permission necessary to access and use the services as intended, users do not obtain ownership of these materials. Copying, modifying, distributing, selling, licensing, reverse engineering, or commercially exploiting protected content without appropriate authorization is prohibited.

Product purchases are subject to applicable purchasing conditions. Product pages may provide descriptions, photographs, technical specifications, pricing, and availability information, although actual products may occasionally differ in minor respects from displayed materials. Inventory can change without notice, and the company may limit quantities, decline transactions, or cancel orders when circumstances require it. Applicable taxes, delivery charges, and other fees may be added during checkout.

Some features or services may be offered through paid subscriptions. When a customer enrolls in a recurring plan, the selected payment method may be charged according to the applicable billing schedule until the subscription is canceled. Customers are responsible for reviewing renewal dates and cancellation requirements to avoid unwanted renewals. If subscription pricing or material billing conditions change, applicable notice may be provided before revised charges take effect.

Wyze products and services are intended for ordinary consumer and household purposes rather than emergency, medical, or life-critical applications. Connected cameras and other devices should not be treated as substitutes for emergency response systems, professional security services, or emergency communication channels. Technical failures, delayed notifications, connectivity problems, power interruptions, or other unexpected conditions may prevent a product from functioning as expected. Users should maintain appropriate alternative arrangements whenever immediate safety or emergency response is involved.

To the extent allowed under applicable law, Wyze may limit responsibility for certain losses arising from the use, misuse, unavailability, or inability to use its products and services. Certain indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages may be excluded or limited where legally permitted. Additional provisions may establish procedures for resolving disagreements, including requirements concerning arbitration or other dispute resolution methods.

These terms are interpreted under the laws specified in the applicable agreement, subject to mandatory legal protections that cannot be waived. If a court or other authorized authority determines that a particular provision cannot be enforced, the remaining portions of the agreement will generally continue to apply. Users should periodically review the current Terms of Service because continued use of the platform may be subject to updated conditions. By using Wyze products and services, customers acknowledge their responsibility to understand the applicable requirements and to use the platform responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with these conditions.
