Refund policy

These Return and Limited Warranty Terms explain the requirements for returning Wyze hardware and the protections available when a qualifying product has a manufacturing defect. They apply to physical products purchased through Wyze and work alongside the company’s broader terms governing its websites, applications, and related services. If another agreement contains provisions that conflict with these terms regarding a product return or warranty matter, these terms will generally control that specific issue. Any mandatory rights or protections granted to consumers under applicable local law will remain in effect and take precedence where required.

Customers who purchase eligible hardware directly through Wyze may request a return within thirty days of the original purchase date if they are not satisfied with their purchase. The return request must be submitted within the applicable period and completed according to the required return procedure. Products obtained from independent retailers, marketplaces, or other third-party sellers are not covered by this direct-purchase return process. Instead, customers should follow the return requirements established by the seller from which the product was originally purchased.

Returned merchandise should be in its original condition and include the components supplied with the product at the time of purchase. Customers should retain and return items such as cables, power adapters, manuals, accessories, and original packaging whenever applicable. A product that has been modified, damaged, or returned with missing parts may be determined to be ineligible. Returns should also originate from the same country where the product was initially delivered. Merchandise shipped back from a different country may not qualify for processing under the applicable return procedure.

After Wyze receives a returned product, the item may be inspected to determine whether the stated return requirements have been satisfied. When a return is approved, reimbursement may be provided through the payment method used for the original transaction. Depending on the circumstances, Wyze may instead provide store credit or another form of equivalent purchase value. Eligible refunds generally cover the product price and applicable taxes, while original shipping or handling charges may not be reimbursed unless required by applicable law. Products sold under particular promotions may also be subject to additional return conditions or exclusions that were disclosed when the promotion was offered.

Before sending a device or container back, customers are responsible for removing personal possessions or other items that they may have placed inside it. Wyze is not responsible for personal property that remains inside merchandise after it has been returned.

Customers beginning a return should use the designated return process and provide the original order information or sales documentation requested during the submission. Once the request has been received, instructions for completing the return may be provided, including a prepaid shipping label when applicable. The merchandise should be securely packaged and sent within the required period, together with all necessary components. Proper packaging can help reduce the possibility of damage while the shipment is in transit. Customers may receive confirmation after the returned item has been received and the review has been completed.

In addition to its return provisions, Wyze provides limited warranty protection for qualifying hardware affected by defects in materials or workmanship. For most products purchased directly from Wyze on or after January 1, 2026, the applicable limited warranty generally lasts eighteen months from the purchase date. Products purchased before that date or through authorized retail channels may have a one-year warranty period. Individual Wyze light bulbs may have a different warranty duration under their applicable product terms. Refurbished merchandise purchased through the company’s refurbished sales channel may also have a separate, shorter warranty period.

When a qualifying manufacturing defect is identified during the applicable warranty period, Wyze may determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. Possible resolutions can include repairing the defective product, replacing it, issuing a refund, or providing store credit. Replacement merchandise may consist of new or refurbished equipment depending on availability. Warranty coverage for a replacement product will generally continue for the remaining portion of the original warranty period or for any minimum replacement coverage period specified by the company.

Warranty protection does not normally extend to products damaged through misuse, accidents, neglect, unauthorized modification, improper installation, or other conditions outside ordinary use. Coverage may also be unavailable when a customer cannot provide acceptable proof of purchase, when the product was obtained from an unauthorized seller, or when the warranty period has already expired. Items supplied at no charge as promotional merchandise may be excluded from warranty service as well.

Customers who believe a hardware problem may qualify for warranty assistance should contact customer support and describe the issue in sufficient detail. Proof of purchase may be required, and Wyze may request that the affected product be returned for inspection before deciding how the matter should be resolved. If evaluation determines that the product does not qualify for warranty protection, the company may have no obligation to repair, replace, or return the submitted merchandise.

The limited warranty described in these terms constitutes the principal warranty offered by Wyze for covered hardware products, except where applicable law provides otherwise. To the extent permitted by law, warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms, including implied warranties concerning merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose, are excluded. In jurisdictions where an implied warranty cannot legally be excluded, its duration may be restricted to the period allowed by applicable law or the duration of the relevant express warranty, as permitted.

Wyze also seeks to limit responsibility for certain indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses associated with the use, inability to use, or malfunction of covered products. Such losses may include data loss, property-related losses, or other secondary damages. Because consumer protection rules differ between jurisdictions, some limitations or exclusions may not apply to every customer. Where local law prevents a particular limitation from being enforced, the applicable legal requirements will govern.

Customers should review the purchase information, applicable product terms, and return or warranty instructions before sending merchandise back or requesting warranty service. Keeping order confirmations, receipts, packaging, and product components can help support a return or warranty request. Customers should also submit requests promptly, provide accurate transaction information, and follow any shipping or inspection instructions supplied during the process. These requirements are intended to establish a clear process for evaluating returns, processing eligible refunds, and addressing qualifying hardware defects while preserving any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
